Rehearsal room

When home is too loud for full stacks, bands book our live room: treated walls, a drum spot, backline, and staff who keep wedge mixes usable so you can work the set.

Band rehearsing in a live room with drums and guitars.

Rehearsal room at Sipopojexadvisory is not a full production session — it is a practical space to tighten setlists, learn new songs, or road-test arrangements. The room is about 28 m² and set up for groups up to 5 players including drums.

Backline is on site with a basic monitor rig; bring your pedalboards and guitars. Want demos after practice? Move to vocal recording or ask for a dedicated tracking day via contact. Directions: From Wibautstraat metro station (M51, M53, M54) it is about an 8-minute walk via Wibautstraat and Linnaeusstraat. Trams 3 and 7 stop at Ruyschstraat, roughly 2 minutes on foot. The entrance is at street level next to the bicycle racks.

How it works

  1. Book

Pick hourly time, a four-hour block, or the 18:00–22:00 evening slot and tell us band size. We confirm availability and send the rate plus a 30% deposit invoice.

  2. Load in

Enter at street level beside the bike racks; set up inside marked floor zones so cables do not cross the drum rug.

  3. Rehearse

Engineer or coordinator powers wedges; you play, pause for tweaks, and keep levels within what the room and ears tolerate.

  4. Wrap

Leave the room tidy, amps off, and exit within booked time; overrun bills in quarter hours at the hourly rate.

Which acts fit

Rock and indie bands, funk sections, amplified jazz combos, cover bands testing wedding sets, and singer-songwriters with a full backing group — anyone who needs more than a few watts. DJ-only or quiet acoustic duos without amps fit better elsewhere — ask via contact.

The studio opened in 2019 with 3 rooms in the building; the live room does not share a wall with the vocal booths, limiting bleed. The 5 player cap is a safety and acoustic limit, not a slogan.

Gear in the room

Expect a drum kit (cymbals by arrangement), bass amp, guitar amp, DI for keys, and mics for vocals and acoustic sources into the monitor mix. Your own snare, kick pedal, or amp head is welcome.

  • 8 headphone sets for click or playback
  • Wedge monitors and a side desk for the engineer
  • Power along the walls — no extension cords across walkways

We do not supply a full PA for audiences; this is practice, not a club gig. Multitrack recording is not standard — a simple reference bounce may be possible if time allows.

Volume and neighbours

The room is built to contain sound, but the band still shares responsibility. Use attenuators, avoid endless full-gain guitar, and follow staff cues. We stop runaway feedback; ignoring repeated warnings can end the session early without refund.

Evening rate €310 applies 18:00–22:00 for after-work slots. Daytime bands often book the four-hour block €205 when two hours is tight but a full evening is not needed.

Bring, leave, and house rules

Bring guitars, pedals, sticks, cymbals, in-ears, and favourite mics if you like. We do not stock consumable drum parts. Afterward: personal gear out, rubbish binned, cables on hooks.

No smoking indoors; we treat vaping like smoke. Minimum age 16 without an adult supervisor. Liability and house rules are in terms and conditions and disclaimer.

Not a tracking or mix package

The rehearsal room does not include multitrack capture, mixing, or mastering. To document practice properly, book separate vocal or band recording on another date with mics ready.

Files from earlier sessions follow session files and rights; rehearsal itself delivers no files unless added in writing.

Staff and support

Jeroen Visser often handles scheduling; evening slots include someone for technical questions. Expect a room tech, not a producer — you run the rehearsal, we keep it safe and audible.

Podcast and other rooms

Podcast hosts should use the table studio via podcast recording; the live room is too loud and open for round-table talk. Same-day combos work if times do not overlap — mention it when booking.

Public livestreams from the room need written consent from Sipopojexadvisory B.V. and bandmates. Site cookies: .

FAQ

Can I bring my own drum kit?

Yes if it fits the floor marks and you load in and out within the booking. Tell us when reserving so we keep space beside the house kit.

Is there a piano?

No grand piano in the live room. Keys via your own instrument and DI; piano recording needs another session. Ask contact for options.

How early can we enter for an evening slot?

Load-in usually starts ten minutes before 18:00 if the prior session ends on time. Longer setup books as extra hours at €58.

Can we livestream the rehearsal?

Not by default. We do not rent encoders in this rate. Treat the slot as practice; broadcast quality needs a dedicated booking.

Where do we park?

Street parking is paid; many bands use transit via Wibautstraat or tram to Ruyschstraat.
